It is called 'The fantastic adventures of Don Pippotte... and the Disney parodies of Cervantes' novel' and is the event that will be held on Saturday 27 January at 5pm in the Sarri Room of the Palazzo Pretorio.
The meeting will focus on the various Disney transpositions of this fictional figure over time, from the first Mickey Mouse in 1956 to the latest comic strip version presented at Lucca Comics&Games 2017. It will be curated by Disney cartoonist Claudio Sciarrone, who is also among the artists on show at the Palazzo Pretorio until 28 January (open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.).
This meeting is part of the review entitled "Don Quixote. The Figure and Symbol of the Impossible", organised over the Christmas period by the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno to acquaint the general public with the famous character created by Miguel de Cervantes and to grasp the relevance of his message.
