It is called "Are We Still Dreaming?" and is the second of six shows in the "Theater Alchemy" review, scheduled at the Garibaldi Theater (Serristori Square-Figline, 9:30 p.m.) through June 11 to promote youth productions.
Bringing it to the stage on May 18 will be the students of the Isis "B. Varchi Montevarchi" theater workshop, which was curated by the Diesis Teatrango Theater Company (Bucine) and coordinated by Professor Rossella Biondi and Professor Iacopo Cigolini, in collaboration with the Ottavo Giorno socioeducational center of Montevarchi and Officina delle Arti Sociali of Arezzo.
In detail, the play, inspired by William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," will be performed by Vittoria Attolini, Thomas Bartoli, Marta Benedetti, Lucrezia Bernini, Filippo Calcinai, Francesca Cardo, Jali Crocchione, Stefano Cuccoli, Maria Laura Del Pace, Martina Demay, Davide Desiderio, Alessandra Di Pietro, Francesca Di Pietro, Dario Falugi, Noemi Galassini, Alice Gibelli, Aleksandra Gryz, Komal Preet Kaur, Tommaso Massai, Chiara Massi, Eleonora Mattesini, Andrea Mori, Francesca Neri, Niccolò Orbi, Iacopo Papini, Tecla Petreni, Tommaso Petreni, Samuele Porri, Giada Sanna, Caterina Stefanelli, Giulia Taddeucci, Silvia Venturini, and Camilla Vignani.
It is directed by Filippo Mugnai and Piero Cherici, who is also engaged in the role of screenwriter.
The next show to be staged, however, will be "Sensate Experiences and Certain Demonstrations" by the "G. Vasari" High School Institute theater workshop (May 25 at Garibaldi Theater, 9:30 p.m.).
The entrance fee is 8 euros for adults and 6 euros for children aged 14 to 19 and the over-65s. Admission is free up to 14 years of age.
The full cost of season tickets for the 5 shows, however, is 25 euros(reduced: 20 euros, reserved for the over-65s and the 14-19 bracket).
