Telling, with irony and with a smile, the pain and consequences that an illness brings in the way of an individual and his family. This is the strength of the play "The Father," directed by Piero Maccarinelli and written by Florian Zeller, on stage at the Garibaldi in Figline onSaturday, March 17, 9 p.m. (Season Ticket Shift "B") and Sunday, March 18 , 4:30 p.m. (Season Ticket Shift "D").
It is a play that premiered in Paris in 2012, and then was performed in the following years in other international theaters. Also, in 2015, the play was adapted for the big screen by Philippe Le Guay under the title "Florida." Returning to the play, Alessandro Haber and Lucrezia Lante della Rovere will take the stage in Figlino as the leads, along with David Sebasti, Daniela Scarlatti, Ilaria Genatiempo and Riccardo Floris.
If Alessandro Haber returns to the Garibaldi after more than 20 years (in the 1995-96 season he starred in "Harlequin Servant of Two Masters"), Lucrezia Lante della Rovere, on the other hand, is making her first appearance in the seasons of the Figlino theater.
The former will play the role of his father, Andrea, a very active man despite his age, who is beginning to show the first signs of a disease that could suggest Alzheimer's. Lucrezia Lante della Rovere, on the other hand, is Anna, his daughter, who decides to live at home with him to try to help him cope with this disease.
Tickets for the show can be purchased starting today, Wednesday, March 14, directly at the Garibaldi box office (Piazza Serristori; 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m.), while they are already available at UniCoop Florence store information boxes or online through the BoxOffice circuit at the following address: https: //www.boxol.it/it/advertise/teatro-garibaldi/187332 .
