In Figline comes "Antera Festival," two days of live music, Aug. 26 and 27, featuring some of the biggest young talents on the Italian scene, starting with headliners Naska and Nitro. Concerts at the Del Buffa Municipal Stadium, cultural meetings at the Garibaldi Theater Arena, a market area and street food space. All with free admission.
The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, is the result of a youth activation process promoted since last spring and in which more than 50 girls and boys between the ages of 16 and 30 participated. A working group that imagined the festival, selected the artists and chose the themes to be explored, working alongside the organizers in the realization of this new festival, designed by young people for young people. The result is what will be the biggest event of the summer in the entire Valdarno region. On the other hand, the name itself says it all: the "anther" is the fertile part of the flower, the part that produces pollen and microspores.
Nitro will take the stage at the Buffa Stadium on Friday, August 26. From Vicenza, Italy, born in 1993, he is considered one of Italy's most talented rappers in freestyle. After his beginnings in the crew Gioventù Bruciata, in 2013 he imposed himself on the national hip hop scene with his first solo album, "Danger," released by Salmo and Hell Raton's Machete Empire Records. "Suicidol," his next album in 2015, debuted directly at No. 1 on the iTunes chart, and the singles extracted exceeded 6.5 million total views on YouTube. This was followed by "No Comment" and "GarbAge," which both reached the top of the charts. Opening an evening all about new hip dop voices will be Florentine Commodo, paired with producer Cuzna, and Rafilù Barracano.
On Saturday, August 27, it will instead be the turn of Naska, stage name of Diego Caterbetti, born in 1997 in Civitanova Marche. Growing up with the punk rock music of Blink 182 and Sum 41, he later got hooked on the American emo trap scene represented by Lil Peep: from the union of these two worlds was born his sound, unique in Italy. In 2020 he released his first Ep "ALO/VE," for Sony Music. Last spring saw the release of "Rebel," his official debut album. It features the new romantic songwriting of Atarde and the cheeky post-trap sounds of Garage Gang.
