From the field to the table: Waiting for Autumnia is back, a journey to (re)discover Tuscan cuisine
In anticipation of the great fair dedicated to agriculture, food and the environment, 'Waiting for Autumnia' is back: seven events over five weekends and a route 'from the field to the table', rediscovering Tuscan cuisine and its ingredients through tastings, walks, guided tours and conferences.
To greet the month of October, another "Trekking a km 0" among local farms. On Saturday, October 30, starting from the parking lot of the church of S. Vito at 9:15 a.m., again accompanied by hiking guide Oliviero Buccianti, a 12.5-kilometer itinerary with stops at the Loppiano Farm, where you can visit the winery and taste some Chianti doc wine; at Castello di Pratelli, a producer of wine and oil, but also of organic cosmetic creams made from iris from Poggio Pratelli and honey produced by the Canonica ai Borri; and finally, at Campopineta, to taste oil and produce from the garden.
