The events of Waiting for Autumnia are not over yet! In anticipation of the famous Figline weekend dedicated to agriculture, environment and food (Nov. 8, 9 and 10 in Piazza Marsilio Ficino), on Oct. 30 there will be a conference on "Olive Growing and Viticulture in the Florentine Valdarno in the Next Ten Years," at the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore "Giorgio Vasari," in Piazza Caduti di Pian d'Albero in Figline.
The conference will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature speeches by Enrico Buoncompagni, the Councillor for Agriculture of the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, Alessandro Papini, the School Headmaster of the Vasari Institute, Paolo Mori, the Olive Technician, and Marco Bani, the Technical Director of the Chianti Consortium. Agricultural associations in the area will also participate.
Participation is free and open to all.
Only the last scheduled event in the calendar of Waiting for Autumnia, which has accompanied the start of the season with tastings, guided tours and art and book tours(click here for the full program), is missing. On Sunday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marsilio Ficino Municipal Library there will be the event "A Book for Breakfast."
