On Friday 12 February at 5 p.m., in the 'Egisto Sarri' room of the Palazzo Pretorio in Figline (Piazza San Francesco), the meeting entitled 'Re-reading the territory to design the future' will be held. This is an opportunity to learn more about the Bes (Benessere Equo e Sostenibile - Fair and Sustainable Wellbeing) project, currently underway in Figline and Incisa Valdarno, which aims to promote fair and sustainable wellbeing in the new single municipality , taking as its point of reference the national Bes project experience, which was set up on the initiative of the National Economic and Labour Council and ISTAT to measure the progress of Italian society.
An objective that passes through the measurement of objective indicators, which take into account both the economic dimension and the socio-environmental factors of the reference territory. And it is precisely in order to enable this objective to be achieved that, on 2 July last, the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, theUniversity of Florence(Level II Master's Degree 'QoLexity') and the Centro Studi Percorsi & Futuro signed an agreement, which envisages three work phases. In particular, the first phase is being carried out under the supervisionofISTAT (national and regional) and theUniversity of Florence (Level II Master's Degree 'QoLexity'), which are respectively in charge of providing the disaggregated data to work on and training the operators called upon to build the conceptual model. Phase 2 will then proceed, in which the municipal council will also be involved to verify the resilience of this conceptual model and to proceed, if necessary, with the integration of additional local indicators for measuring BES. The third and final phase will be devoted to monitoring procedures for territorial well-being.
The mayor of Figline and Incisa, Giulia Mugnai, the president of Banca Valdarno, Gianfranco Donato, Filomena Maggino, lecturer at the University of Florence, Linda Laura Sabbadini, director of the Istat Social Department,Rosa De Pasquale, head of the Department for the Educational System of Education and Training, and Alessandro Agostini, president of the Percorsi & Futuro Association, will take part in the meeting on 12 February.
