MARIO CASTELNUOVO GERMAN - He was born into a Jewish banking family.
From his mother he received his first piano lessons, and then went on to the music institute
Cherubini of Florence, where he studied piano with E. Del Valle Paz and composition with I. Pizzetti.
When the fascist regime in Italy enacted the racial laws in 1939, he was forced to take refuge in the United States. He was a composition teacher at the Los Angeles Conservatory:André Previn and Jerry Goldsmith came out of his school.
He wrote a lot of film music: two Film Studies: the Charlot and Mickey Mouse, the Stars (...).
In his compositional style lives a new, fresh melodic ease, tempered by an elegant
that makes one think of the French (more Ravel than Debussy, for the precision of the contours and
for the liveliness and variety of rhythms); his is a modern language that welcomes, for example,
contemporary dance movements (fox-trot, blues, etc.), but does not shy away from recovering "traditional" expressiveness. It can be called a "neoromantic" style.
RAFFAELLO RAVASIO - Began studying the guitar privately, later graduating
with highest honors at the Conservatory of Bologna and earning a Level II Academic Diploma with honors.
at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato in Rimini. He has perfected his skills with renowned guitarists
(Aldo Vianello, Leo Witoszynskyj and Piero Bonaguri). In a duo with flutist Rossana Fani he has
carried out intense concert activity and took a course in chamber music with Alfonso
Borghese at the Fiesole School of Music. He complemented his guitar study with the
Musicological studies at the University of Bologna. Performs concert activities in Italy and abroad
(Lyon, Dubai, Monte Carlo, etc.). He has a solo album to his credit (Aldebaran Brescia) and some
publications (Erikson Trento and Ut Orpheus Bologna). Collaborates with contemporary composers
to the birth of original pieces for guitar (Marco Reghezza, Roberto Tagliamacco, Paolo Ugoletti,
Andrea Vezzoli). He teaches guitar at the Liceo Musicale in Arezzo.
SAMUELE AMIDEI - He completed his musical studies at the Conservatory of Music.
"Arrigo Boito "of Parma, where he graduated in piano under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Cappello.
He studied with Franco Rossi, Pier Narciso Masi, Lovro Pogorelich, Malcolm Bilson and Bart van Oort.
For more than ten years he has been specializing, in piano and chamber music, with Russian pianist Konstantin Bogino at the Accademia Angelica Costantiniana and the Arts Academy in Rome and La Scuola di Musica
Santa Cecilia in Bergamo, Italy. He is the winner, as soloist and in piano duo, of numerous First Prizes in
national and international competitions: he was awarded, among others, the 1st Prize and the Prize
for the best performance of J. S. Bach at the Meta International Piano Performance Competition,
1st Prize at the 9th European ed. of the "City of Barletta" competition and 1st Prize at the second edition
of the "City of Castiglion F.no" competition. He received, with honors, the bachelor's degree
In musical disciplines (Bachelor's degree in piano, concert major)
at the Conservatory of Music in Perugia in the class of M° Luigi Tanganelli. He taught the piano course at the CorsiInternazionali di Perfezionamento Musicale "Lucca Estate"
organized by the Sinfonia School of Music and is a piano teacher at the courses of
improvement as part of the Savino Music Festival since 2009.
He was invited by the City College of Fresno - California (USA) where he gave two Masterclasses.
of piano in 2017 and 2108, also performing in Piano Recitals in the "O.A.B. Auditorium" and at West Hills College Auditorium in Coalinga (CA) receiving a new invitation for 2019.
He graduated with honors in teaching the instrument and
holds the chair of piano at Liceo Musicale Petrarca in Arezzo.
