Double initiative at the 'Marsilio Ficino' municipal library (via Locchi-Figline, free admission), where two initiatives to promote reading will be held on Friday and Saturday.
It starts on 13 November at 9 p.m. with the presentation of Luca Decembri 's book 'The King's Son. La leggenda di Nanoà' (Leonida ed. 2015). It is the story of a professor who goes to the library of an ancient monastery in Gusciona to carry out some research and by chance stumbles upon some diaries that speak of Nanoà, anancient city built on top of Mount Falco and of which all trace has been lost today. Through the story of four young friends (the Fool, the Devil, the Hunchback and the Hawk) we will learn about the history of Nanoà, the ancient lost city that hides many secrets. Speaking with the author will be Prof. Danilo Breschi, with musical accompaniment by Maestro Paolo Mugnai.
On Saturday 14 November at 4 p.m., the meeting 'PPP-Poets for Pasolini' will be held, i.e. readings and music to pay homage to the poet on the 40th anniversary of his death. An excerpt from the film "Pasolini" by Abel Ferrara will be screened, followed by readings by poets Andrea Treré (Ravenna), Silvia Pecorini (Figline), Anna Appolloni (Rome), Lorenzo Michelini (San Giovanni Valdarno), Pamela Galloni (Reggello), Leonello Rabatti (Reggello), and Tiziana Tognaccini (Terranuova Bracciolini). Closing the evening withPink Floyd's 'If' by Lorenzo Michelini and refreshments for all participants.
