Tickets to attend one of the performances of the Prose and Concert seasons of Figline's Garibaldi Theatercan also be purchased online (through the Box office circuit or by logging on directly at www.teatrogaribaldi.it). In both cases, the service will be active from the Monday before the relevant performance.
Next on stage, available for purchase starting Jan. 9, is the national premiere of Molière's "The Bourgeois Gentleman," directed by Armando Pugliese (Jan. 14 and 15).
The protagonist of the story is Mr. Jourdain, the enriched son of a cloth merchant played by Emilio Solfrizzi. The actor will return to the Figlino stage after starring in "Due di noi" in the 2011-2012 season , along with Lunetta Savino, and in "Sarto per signora" in 2014-15.
Returning to the plot of "The Bourgeois Gentleman," Jourdain is obsessed with acquiring the status of nobility, so much so that he is determined to grant the hand of his daughter Lucilla only to a nobleman. At the same time, he surrounds himself with characters who attempt to swindle him, pandering to his (at times insane) beliefs and taking advantage of his weaknesses. And it is precisely a false promise of nobility that will turn his family's fortunes upside down.
The ErreTiTeatro30 company will go on stage on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. (Subscription Round "B") and Sunday, Jan. 15 at 4:30 p.m. (Subscription Round "D").
As a reminder, in addition to the online ticket office, the traditional ticket office will remain active, open in Piazza Serristori from the Wednesday before the performance from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; alternatively, tickets can be purchased at all UniCoop Firenze supermarket entrance boxes (in Figline it is in Via Ungheria).
