Once again this year, "Let's Do Christmas Together" is back, the program of events to be held in Figline and Incisa from December to January to celebrate the holiday season. They are organized by the municipality, together with the Pro Loco Aldo Caselli and Marsilio Ficino, the natural shopping centers Il Granaio and Le Botteghe del Petrarca, and in collaboration with various local businesses.
It starts on Friday, December 8, with the Christmas market that will remain set up for the entire day in Ficino Square, on the initiative of the Pro loco of the same name and the cultural association Antares.
Christmas shopping will also be available for the entire day at two other extraordinary themed markets, which will be held in Villa Casagrande (Market in the courtyard, with tastings, music and displays by the association Il Sorriso di Enrico and Villa Casagrande) and in downtown Incisa.
At the same time, the Brick Club will be busy in the square from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the game delle constructions with Legos.
Santa's carriage will also arrive at 4 p.m.: an antique carriage that came out of the Villa Casagrande Museum, which will be used as a sleigh to hand out candy and take photos (an initiative by the association Il Sorriso di Enrico and Villa Casagrande).
Number 48, also at 4 p.m., will be the opening of the traditional Nativity Art Exhibition, now in its 11th year. It is organized by Calcit Valdarno Fiorentino, which will keep it open until 7 p.m. Jan. 7 during the following hours: holidays and pre-holidays from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Finally, at 4:30 p.m., a puppet show entitled "Don Quixote and Sancho Panza" will be staged in the multi-purpose hall of the Circolo Arci in Incisa (Piazza S. Lucia), part of the children's theater show "In the Belly of the Whale"[more details here].
