The events of "Let's Do Christmas Together," the program of initiatives with which Figline and Incisa Valdarno prepares for Christmas, continue .
It starts right from the morning, with workshops dedicated to the youngest children. The first will be held at the "Rovai" library (Parri-Incisa Square; 10 a.m.-12 p.m.), where games and readings under the tree are planned for children aged 8-12. The event is limited to a maximum of 10 participants (reservations required by writing to zimmerclub.amicidellabiblioteca@gmail.com by Thursday, Dec. 15). In the afternoon, at 4:30 p.m., we will instead move to Santa Lucia Square to hear the story of "St. Michael and the Dragon." The initiative, organized by the Le Muse association and the Sistema Museale del Chianti e del Valdarno Fiorentino, will start from the observation of a painting, present in the Church of Sant'Alessandro. This will be followed by a creative workshop at a booth in the square. And it is also at a booth in the square that, at the same time, two animated readings will be held by the Zimmerclub association. The first is titled "Pinocchio in Toyland" (4-5 p.m.); the second is "Pinocchio in the Whale" (5-6 p.m.).
Meanwhile, in Figline, there will be a new meeting at the "Martelli" Rest Home (Via della Resistenza 99, Figline), which starting at 4:30 p.m. will host a painting exhibition entitled "La Bottega di Vaggio."
In the evening, however, the appointment is at the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria (Piazza Ficino-Figline, 9:15 p.m.) with the concert "Playing with Christmas Notes." Curating the show will be the Alessandri Chorale and the Valdarno Youth Orchestra, with music by Mozart, Bach and other Christmas carols.
