Like every year, December is the month that the Chianti and Florentine Valdarno Museum System dedicates to families, with activities and guided tours in its main museums (Dec. 3-18). Double the planned stop in Figline and Incisa Valdarno, which will touch on Piazza Marsilo Ficino onDec. 8 and Piazza Santa Lucia and the Church of San'Alessandro, in Incisa, on Dec. 17.
In the first case, the appointment is at 3:30 p.m. at the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria, where the cultural association Le Muse will lead participants to discover the artistic techniques,stories and characters in the works of the Figline Museum of Sacred Art. During the second event, however, at 4 p.m. the Le Muse association will welcome children and parents in front of the Museum System's booth in Piazza Santa Lucia, and then they will all move together to the Church of St. Alexander. It is in fact inside that, starting from the observation of a painting, the story of the Archangel Michael will be told. Following this, the group will return to Santa Lucia Square for a creative workshop.
Both initiatives are part of the "Let's Do Christmas Together" Christmas events program, organized until Jan. 8 thanks to the collaboration between the municipality, Pro loco "Marsilio Ficino" and "Aldo Caselli," natural shopping centers "Il Granaio" and "Le Botteghe del Petrarca," Aer spa, municipal libraries "Marsilio Ficino" and "Gilberto Rovai," and associations Zimmer Club, Il club del Mattoncino, Le Muse, Archeo club Valdarno superiore and Teatrombria.
