Incisa is also preparing to host its Feste del Perdono, along with its Palio dei Ciuchi . The initiatives-scheduled from Friday, Sept. 14 to Tuesday, Sept. 18-are organized by the Aldo Caselli Pro Loco of Incisa, with the collaboration of various local entities.
It starts with the inauguration of the Luna Park in Via XX Settembre/Piazza Auzzi at 4 p.m. and, for the occasion, tickets will be sold at half price (in case of rain, the promotion will be valid on Monday 17). From 4 p.m. to midnight Lungarno Matteotti, Piazza Santa Lucia, Piazza Auzzi and Via XX Settembre will host the antiques and modern antiques market exhibition, along with various food and wine stands . The market will also remain set up on Sunday 16 from 10 a.m. and on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 and from 12 noon.
A dinner is also set for 8 p.m. (reservations are required at the following numbers: Sabrina 3385369881; Silvia 3392420452).
Instead, on Saturday, Sept. 15, the Luna park will open at 4 p.m., as well as on Monday, Sept. 17 and Tuesday, Sept. 18, while in the evening the performance area on Olympia Street will be enlivened by the performance of the Uonnadens.
On Sunday, Sept. 16, at 9 a.m., "Corriincisa," the 12-kilometer noncompetitive footraceand 5-kilometer eco-walk, will start from Auzzi Square. From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., there will also be space for the Market Fair through the streets of the center, which will also be replicated on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. At 5 p.m. it will be the turn of the APD Gruppo Sport e Cultura to animate the entertainment area, while 9 p.m. it will be the turn of Max Fabbri's ballroom dancing. Also, between performances, Republic Square will host a raffle (7 p.m.).
Monday, September 17 is the day when the 38th Palio dei Ciuchi will kick off, with the Contrade parade through the streets of downtown (departure from Piazza Mazzanti at 8:30 p.m. and arrival at Piazza Pertini) and with the race, also between the Contrade, at the Incisa Stadium, starting at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale from Saturday, September 15at4 p.m. (while seats last). Ticket costs: center grandstand 8 euros; side grandstand 4 euros.
On Tuesday 18 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall Square there will be an apericena by the Parish of St. Alexander, in anticipation of the traditional fires on the Arno (scheduled for 11:15 p.m.). The schedule of religious celebrations is posted on the doors of the Churches of St. Alexander and Saints Cosmas and Damian.
Finally, the last event preceding the fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. on Olimpia Street, where the Centro Studi Danza Incisa, under the artistic direction of Cristina Borgia, will perform. Daniele Parenti will present the evening.
It is also informed that, by a double ordinance of the Municipal Police, a change in the road system has been instituted and the displacement of the Friday market has been ordered.
