Once again this year, downtown Incisa will host the traditional Feste del Perdono, staged Sept. 15-19. The initiative is curated by the Pro Loco "Aldo Caselli" and the Contrade of Incisa, which will compete for the 37th Palio dei Ciuchi 50 years after its first edition.
It starts on Friday 15 at 4 p.m., when the Lunapark will open its doors at the Olympia Street Sports Field, which will maintain the same opening hours on subsequent days.
For the occasion, tickets will be sold at half price; in case of rain, however, the initiative will slip to Monday. From 4 p.m. to midnight Lungarno Matteotti, Piazza Santa Lucia and Piazza Auzzi will host food and wine stands, those of the antiques and modern antiques market exhibition and the vintage motorcycle show (the initiatives will be replicated until Sept. 19, with hours 10-24, and on Sept. 20 with hours 10-23).
On Saturday 16, at 5 p.m., there will be performances by the Sport and Culture Group in Piazza Santa Lucia, who will also stage their shows on Sunday 17 at 5 p.m. and Monday 18 at 6 p.m. At 9 p.m., space will be given to the "Down with the Mask" flash mob and the Jesse Project concert, closely followed by that of Abba Dreamy (Abba cover band).
Also, from 4 p.m. of the same day, presales of tickets for the Palio will start at the stand of the Compagnia delle Contrade (7 euros central grandstand; 4 euros side grandstand).
OnSunday 17, events will start from the morning, with the 32nd Italian Motorcycle Show (meeting at 8:51 a.m. in Piazza Pertini) and the market fair, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Viale XX Settembre. At the same time, the "Corri Incisa" running event will start from Piazza Auzzi, in a double formula: a 12-kilometer non-competitive run and a 5-kilometer eco-walk. At 9 p.m., the appointment is with the musical show presented by Pierluigi Gorini, entitled "Twist Martini people," by Barsa Mc and DJ Adri Jay, accompanied by a new performance by the Sport and Culture Group.
Then on Monday 18 at 8:30 p.m. from Mazzanti Square the Contrade parade through the streets of Incisa will start, ending in Pertini Square, while at 9:30 p.m. the games of the 37th Palio dei Ciuchi will begin. The festival will close on Tuesday, Tuesday 19, with the traditional fireworks (midnight), preceded by an apericena by the Parish of St. Alexander, in Town Hall Square, and a performance by the Centro Studi Danza Incisa, the dance school directed by Cristina Borgia, in Santa Lucia Square.
