The Fondo impresa Donna (Women's Enterprise Fund) kicks off in May: the Ministry of Economic Development's incentive to support female entrepreneurship through non-repayable grants and subsidised loans.
This is an important opportunity that incentivises women to start up or strengthen new activities to carry out innovative projects in the sectors of industry, handicrafts, processing of agricultural products, services, trade and tourism.
The measure is part of the package of interventions promoted by the Ministry to support women's enterprise, indicated as a priority in the 'Inclusion and Cohesion' mission, and has a total financial endowment of approximately EUR 200 million (of which EUR 160 million in PNRR resources - and EUR 40 million allocated by the 2021 budget law)
This fund represents one of the first major opportunities to make Italian entrepreneurship grow, through the empowerment and support of a category that is often vulnerable, and at the same time close the gender gap, strengthening -equally- the employment landscape in the country.
It is precisely on this theme that the proposal for the training event on 27 April co-organised by the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno and Polo Lionello Bonfanti (an entrepreneurial and conference centre that has been promoting and developing virtuous, ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship since its inception), with the contribution of the BCC, intends to focus.
The Impresa Donna Fund is aimed at supporting women 's enterprises (understood as enterprises with predominantly female participation and self-employed women) of any size, with registered and/or operational headquarters located throughout the country, already established or newly established, through the granting of facilities under one of the following two lines of action: creation, development or consolidation of women's enterprises.
The training intervention aims to provide participants with the theoretical framework and strategic skills necessary to approach the opportunities̀ offered by the Fund, working in detail on how to apply efficiently and increase the likelihood of obtaining funding. The workshop is entrusted to professional planners from Ethic Solution, who for years have been working alongside E.di C. SpA (a non-profit company that manages the Lionello Bonfanti Pole) in numerous training projects and were also the promoting partner of the first inter-school Hackathon in Valdarno last November. Leading this new exploratory journey are experts in European planning, solidarity finance, mediation training and social education, always with a keen eye on innovative processes and the impact of enterprise in today's context.
The opening for applications for non-reimbursable grants and funding is set for the beginning of May; it is therefore important to arrive prepared and to be able to provide the right tools (and language) for a successful presentation of projects.
The workshop is a very useful opportunity aimed at a wide target group, both those who are already operating in the market in the midst of the many challenges of recent years, and those who have a simple project in the pipeline but lack the appropriate language and means to land the idea and convert it into action, towards something more tangible and sustainable.
The workshop will take place in hybrid mode, welcoming in presence, at the Lionello Bonfanti Pole (Loc. Burchio snc - Figline and Incisa Valdarno) all those who can reach the physical location and broadcast on line for those who are off-site.
