On Saturday 15 there are many events organized in town.It starts with music, with a concert by the young students of the string and wind instrument classes of the Shumann School of Incisa, directed by Letizia Bonchi and Lisa Berti. The performance will be held starting at 3:30 p.m. at Casa Argia (Via San Romolo 1, Figline).
Simultaneously in Auzzi Square, in collaboration with Daniele Parenti, there will be a dance performance by the Incisa Dance Study Center, directed by Cristina Borgia. Accompanying the performances will be sweets, pancakes, chestnuts and mulled wine in the market organized by Pro loco Aldo Caselli and CCN Le Botteghe del Petrarca (which will be replicated on Sunday as well). On both Saturday and Sunday, the Incisa center will also host the Luna Park .
At 5 p.m., however, two concurrent events will be held: in Figline, the social center Il Giardino will offer the free performance of Pergolesi's "Serva padrona" (text and direction are by Cosimo Adamo); at Casa Petrarca, in Piazza Benassai in Incisa, the awards ceremony of the Petrarca.Fiv literary contest will be held instead, with readings of the finalist stories by actor Mario Pietramala. Following this, from 7 p.m., Casa Petrarca will host the award ceremony for the first place winner (2,000 euros offered by Lions Club Valdarno Host) and the inauguration of the exhibition of the Lorenzo Bonechi Prize finalists. These are the works of 10 students from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts (chosen from 73 in the competition), which will remain on display until Jan. 8 (at Casa Petrarca; open: Sat and Sun 5-7 p.m.; closed Jan. 6).
Finally, please note that at 5:30 p.m. in the Ridotto is the Garibaldi Choir's second "Invitation to Listening," dedicated to the Christmas concert (with music by Mozart, Schumann and Rachmaninov). Info here .
