The events organizedby the Marsilio Ficino Institute, under the patronage of the municipality and with the contribution of the Regional Council of Tuscany, continue on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the enactment of the Italian Constitution .
Following the inaugural meeting on Friday, March 2, which featured the President Emeritus of the Constitutional Court, Ugo De Siervo, Friday, March 9, the in-depth discussion will be double and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Ficino Institute .
Two university professors will take the floor: the first to speak on "The Political Cultures Present in the Constituent Assembly" will be Alessandra Tarquini (associate professor of Contemporary History at the Sapienza University of Rome); the second talk, on the other hand, will focus on "Constitution: what has been implemented, what still hasn't, what should be reformed" and will be curated by Stefano Ceccanti(professor of Italian and Comparative Constitutional Law and Parliamentary Law at the Sapienza University of Rome). Chairing the meetings will be Carmelo Mezzasalma (of the Community of San Leolino, as well as professor of Italian Literature at the "Marsiio Ficino" classical and scientific high school).
The three-day event will close on Saturday, March 17, with a meeting entitled "Powers and Institutions of the Republic: State and Autonomies" by Leonardo Bianchi (professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Florence). Chaired by Bruno Meucci, professor of History and Philosophy classical and scientific high school "Marsilio Ficino").
Please note that the purpose of the initiative, which is part of theannual history conference sponsored by the Institute, is to spread more knowledge about the Constitutional Charter.
