It will be maestro Michele Campanella, one of Italy's greatest pianists with a career spanning more than half a century, who will conduct the Orchestra della Toscana at the Teatro Garibaldi tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 26 (Piazza Serristori, Figline; 9 p.m.).
For his new Tuscan tour with the ORT, the musician from Campania will opt for an all-Mozart, offering works from the time when the composer, after impetuously abandoning a permanent position in the orchestra in his hometown of Salzburg, decided to move to Vienna as a freelancer.
On the set list: Rondo for piano in A minor, k. 511; Piano Fantasy in C minor, k. 475; Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, k. 488;
Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, k. 491 .
The first two works, which show Mozart's more introspective side, will be played on the piano by soloist Campanella; the other two-written by Mozart within months of each other in 1786, during the gestation of The Marriage of Figaro-will be offered in concert.
Tickets can be purchased directly at the Garibaldi box office (Piazza Serristori; 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.-7 p.m.), at UniCoop Florence store information boxes or online through the BoxOffice circuit at https://www.boxol.it/it/advertise/teatro-garibaldi/187332
