The countdown has officially begun for the Bada ki c'è Festival, the newest addition to the 2018 summer calendar scheduled in downtown Figline on July 19 and 20 (free admission). It is organized by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, together with Fonderia Cultart.
For the occasion, Ficino Square will be dressed up, with a stage for concerts, a relaxation area open from 3 p.m. to midnight and also available for apericena (in collaboration with a number of venues in the historic center), a play space offered by Decathlon and other attractions by some local entities. All of this is with a view to involving ever wider sections of the public, with special attention to the young people under 35, in the cultural offer of the territory, also adapting it to the needs of the new generations and using languages close to them. An idea that underlies all the Administration's Cultural Policies, which since 2014 has been promoting initiatives and projects aimed precisely at creating identity, capturing attention and involving those who, in general, do not recognize themselves in the territorial cultural proposal (or remain excluded from it). Not surprisingly, the name of the Festival as well as its graphics were chosen online, through special contests launched on institutional social, so as to create as much engagement as possible with the target audience.
GUESTS ON STAGE - On Thursday, July 19, at 9:30 p.m., the stage of the "Bada Ki C'è Festival" will host Gio Evans, writer and poet, humorist, performer, songwriter and street artist class of '88, ready to bring his "NotAgainstMe". It is a spectacularconcert, a brand new format of performance that mixes music, poetry, gags and monologues (comic-philosophical) and that the artist is taking on tour throughout Italy. All of this coincides with the release of his new album, titled "Ticket Only Return": a double album, divided between music and poetry, which will be released precisely on July 19. The following evening, Friday, July 20, the appointment is with a double concert. Starting at 9:30 p.m., the stage will in fact be dominated by Maria Antonietta, who will open the evening in Ficino Square, and Nicolò Carnesi.
The singer-songwriter, born in 1987, will stop in Figline as part of her Deluderti tour. After club dates and a performance on stage at the May Day Concert in Rome, Maria Antonietta continues to bring live her new album, released in March and produced with Giovanni Imparato (aka Colombre) availing herself, for some tracks, of the collaboration of Tommaso Colliva and Fabio Grande. This new and third work comes after a self-titled album produced by Dario Brunori in 2012 and SASSI in 2014.
Next to take the stage will be Nicolò Carnesi, also born in 1987 and among the best-known names in the new generation of Italian singer-songwriters [for the full program, open this tab].
Also with a musical theme, on Thursday and Friday afternoons is in programs a rap music workshop titled "Power of Words.", Edited by Kiave. The appointment, on both afternoons, is from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kurousagi Comics & Games comic book store (Serristori Square 17, Figline).
