"Fly to the Library," the new series of meetings organized by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, in collaboration with the Zimmer club association and the Figline BiblioCoop, to promote reading in the area, continues.
On Oct. 18, starting at 5:30 p.m., the appointment is at the "Rovai" library (Piazza Parri, Incisa), for the presentation of the volume "Love of Country, Passion for Science and Civic Commitment of a Great Man of Incisa" by Cinzia Lodi.
This is a study conducted 150 years after the death of Antonio Brucalassi, a scientist, man of letters and member of the Medical-Physical Society of Florence who was born and lived in Incisa from 1797 to 1866. In addition to the author, speakers will include Adalberto Scarlino (president of the Comitato Fiorentino per il Risorgimento), Fabio Bertini (professor of contemporary history at the University of Florence) and Massimo Tarassi (of the Italian Historical Archives).
