It is set for Oct. 1, at 5:30 p.m., theart-historical themed meeting at the Social Center "Il Giardino" (on Via Roma-Figline), organized by the association's Culture Group. The title of the meeting is "Piero della Francesca in Urbino," during which Patrizia D'Orlando will recount the artist's stay in the Marche city in the second half of the 15th century. And she will do so through some works made by the artist precisely in that period, such as the Double Portrait of the Dukes of Urbino (kept in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence), the Madonna of Senigallia (kept in the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, in Urbino) and the Brera Altarpiece (also known as the Montefeltro Altarpiece, kept in the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan).
The lecture - with free admission - will also be an opportunity to present the program and prices of the 2016/17 edition of the art history course, starting in the fall within the same center and taught by the same lecturer.
