The Inferno Run will return to Figline and Incisa Valdarno on Oct. 5 and 6 with an Italian-level competition.
The venue chosen for the cross-country obstacle course is the Norcenni Sunflower Village.
- On Saturday, October 5, the Inferno MUD STANDARD, the 12-kilometer course open to those over 16 years of age, is scheduled. At 8:30 a.m. the acceptance point will open (at the campsite reception) and bibs and race pack will be distributed; after a short briefing among the athletes, from the "Inferno Village" set up at Norcenni the "bolge" will start: the first round (from 1 to 10:45 a.m.) will include four competitive bolge, in the second round (from 11 to 12:45 a.m.) eight Open bolge, the category open to everyone, will start instead. The awards ceremony will take place at 5 p.m., then the event will continue at 8 p .m. with the Inferno Dinner at the Village (reservations required) and the Disco Inferno with free admission from 10 p.m., in the Norcenni Girasole Village disco.
- On Sunday, October 6, the Inferno MUD SHORT will be run, the 4-kilometer course in which children at least 13 years of age can also participate. The acceptance point will always open at 8.30 a.m. Then, from the Village the participants will move to Località La Palagina (reachable only by a shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes) to do the briefing scheduled for 10.50 a.m. and start from there the competitive race (11 a.m.), or the Open bedlam (12 p.m.), which will take them back to Norcenni. Sunday will also feature the Inferno KIDS, open to children ages 4 to 12. At 2 p.m. there will be the awards ceremony.
The Inferno Run is open to both athletes and anyone who would like to have some fun with a bit of an adventurous spirit. Participants in the 12-kilometer race will compete to enter the Italian, European and World Championships (INFERNO SERIES) and, as well, the Strong Viking OCR Series.
A medical certificate for sporting activity ("competitive" only to enter the competitive category) is required to participate.
