Once again this year, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, associations and the entire community are engaging in a two-week awareness and sensitization drive, Nov. 13-27, to combat gender-based violence and women's self-determination.
The calendar of initiatives will close on Saturday, Nov. 26, accompanied by the photo exhibition "Women and Work" by the Arno Photographic Circle, which will be held at Corso Mazzini 1 in Figline until Nov. 27.
10:30 a.m. - naming the garden area in Corso Vittorio Veneto, Figline, where the installation in memory of victims of feminicide was placed in June 2021, after Alessandra Barluzzi, a Figline victim of feminicide in 2001
from 5 p.m. - "Not Even with a Finger! Together against all violence and for the freedom of all women," an afternoon of theatrical readings at the Members' Space at Coop.fi on Via Ungheria in Figline. Organized by the "Si fa teatro giovani" workshop of the Agita Cultural Association in collaboration with the Coop Valdarno Fiorentino Members Section.
Exhibition and naming of the area after Alessandra Barluzzi by the Women's Coordination SPI CGIL Lega Valdarno Fiorentino, FNP CISL Valdisieve Valdarno - Women's Coordination Florence Prato and UILP Florence, with the adherence of 18 associations in the area.
