Once again this year the Brick Club has organized the Valdarno Brick, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Matassino Sports Hall (Figline). This is an event sponsored by the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno and now in its fourth edition, which includes, as usual, two days of exhibitions of works made of Lego bricks.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the event, which will remain open to the public until 7 p.m. on Saturday, is set for 9:45 a.m.; Sunday's opening is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will be held in conjunction with the "City of Sports" event (scheduled at the Matassino sports facilities; free admission on Sept. 29).
On display will be dioramas of absolute novelty and grandeur, unique collectibles, many free play activities, robotics demonstration by the ISIS Valdarno Institute of San Giovanni Valdarno, and other initiatives, made in collaboration with other associations, ready to entertain visitors.
Also new this year are the "Young Exhibitor" sweepstakes, dedicated to children up to 14 years of age, and the two play areas "Bricks and Colors" and "Free Play" where, in addition to classic bricks, there will be plenty of special Lego pieces.
Admission is free for children up to 12 years old, while adults are required to donate at least 5 euros, which will be donated to the Figline Mercy.
