Once again this year, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, associations and the entire community are engaging in a two-week awareness and sensitization drive, Nov. 13-27, to combat gender-based violence and women's self-determination.
The calendar of initiatives will close on Saturday 26 with an afternoon of theatrical readings from 5 p.m. at the Members' Space at the Coop.fi in Via Ungheria in Figline, preceded by the naming of the garden area in Corso Vittorio Veneto in Figline at 10:30 a.m. to Alessandra Barluzzi, a 2001 victim of feminicide in Figline, and accompanied by the "Women and Work" photo exhibition by the Arno Photographic Circle, which will take place at Corso Mazzini 1 in Figline until Nov. 27.
Readings in Bibliocoop "Not even with a finger! Together against all violence and for the freedom of all women" by the "Si fa teatro giovani" workshop of the Agita Cultural Association in collaboration with the Coop Valdarno Fiorentino Members Section.
Exhibition and naming of the area after Alessandra Barluzzi by the SPI CGIL Women's Coordination League Valdarno Fiorentino, FNP CISL Valdisieve Valdarno - Women's Coordination Florence Prato and UILP Florence, with the adherence of 18 associations in the area.
