"Maggio Musicale Fiorentino" goes on tour in the metropolitan area and brings more than one hundred events to the stage, also stopping in Figline and Incisa. All as part of the "Maggio Metropolitano" project: the traveling cultural proposal funded by the Metro City and promoted by the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, in collaboration with the Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo and Firenze Teatri. On the program are not only performances, but also musical rehearsals and conferences. There are 6 events (free) in the city, the first of which is scheduled for Oct. 19 .
It is on that date, in fact, that the Ridotto of the Garibaldi Municipal Theater (Piazza Serristori-Figline) at 6 p.m. will host a conference entitled "Donizetti and a Lombard Idyll. L' elisir d'amore," curated by Maddalena Bonechi.
The next events open to the public, however, are scheduled for Oct. 29 (musical performance at the Incisa Nursery, 5 p.m.) and Nov. 8 (performance by the May Chorus at the Garibaldi, 9:15 p.m.), and Dec. 14 (performance at 10:30 a.m.), Jan. 16 (concert rehearsal in Florence, 7:30 p.m.) and March 1 (concert rehearsal in Florence, 3 p.m.) events are instead reserved for schools.
Admission is free.
