On the 20th anniversary of his death, the Marsilio Ficino Municipal Library, in collaboration with the Venturino Venturi Archive, pays homage to the Valdarno artist with an exhibition of 12 previously unpublished lithographs.
Whenever Venturino wanted to, he used to take a few pieces of paper or cardboard, whatever he had at hand, and with his brush he would give life to small notes of humanity. Children playing, children holding hands, a landscape, cherries and so on, which then became lithographic folders, never exhibited until this occasion, a joyful interlude 20 years after his death.
The exhibition opens on Saturday 2 April at 3.30 p.m. and the works will be on display until 28 May during library opening hours.
