An exhibition, a film screening and a buffet to promote the "AmicAfrica" project. This is the trio of initiatives scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16, at Figline's Palazzo Pretorio (Piazza San Francesco, Figline) starting at 4 p.m. In the Egisto Sarri room, the "Africa 2022" photo exhibition will be inaugurated. The photos are by Valerio Pianigiani, promoter of the project, who took them during his last trip to Cameroon, in Ebolowa, on the border with Nigeria. A return to Africa for him, together with volunteers Alessio, Sara and Marianna, after the stop due to the pandemic, which, however, did not stop the initiatives of solidarity and funding of long-distance activities, thanks to the fundraising (more than 11 thousand euros) carried out in 2020 and 2021.
Images of the inauguration, and more, will be featured in the film that will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in Sarri Hall. This will be followed by the presentation of certificates to supporters of the project (thanks to whom, in 2022, about 17,000 euros were donated) and a buffet, which will be set up at the Stroncapane restaurant in Piazza Marsilio Ficino. Participation in the buffet requires a contribution of 10 euros, which will be donated to the AmicAfrica project, and reservations at 338 309 7577.
