Friday, July 21 sees the return of the White Night in Figline, now in its sixth year.
It starts at 8 p.m. when food and wine stands will open in the historic center, which will remain open until 2 a.m. along with stores.
From the same hour, various performances will take place in Ficino Square. It will start with music, with the Great Queen Rats (Queen cover band) and continue with entertainment by Giulivo Clown and Gigi the Fireman, and then move on to the traveling musical show by Castle's Drummers Street Band and the theatrical show by the Delikatessen Company with "Patatrac."
If a market and a DJ set are scheduled in Corso Mazzini, Piazza San Francesco will host various types of dancing (ballroom, Caribbean, zumba, 80s and 90s and a dance show) in the company of Miki&Tris D'Assi. Finally, two DJ sets will be held in Corso Matteotti: one at New line shoes, by DJ GOMA (metropolitan set), the other at Pizz'art (Neuro set).
The evening - with free admission - is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, in collaboration with Day Off Eventi, Centro Commerciale Naturale "Il Granaio," the Pro Loco "Marsilio Ficino" of Figline, Confesercenti Firenze, Florence Chamber of Commerce and Banca Credito Cooperativo Banca del Valdarno.

To ensure safety during the event, an ordinance has been issued by the mayor prohibiting the consumption and sale of take-away beverages in glass containers, while authorizing it on private premises(inside which it will be the responsibility of the owners or serving staff to ensure that customers do not bring glass bottles and glasses into the street). Any behavior deviating from the ordinance will be punished, in accordance with the provisions of Article 650 of the Penal Code, with an arrest of up to three months or a fine of up to two hundred and six euros.
