On Thursday, August 27, the evening is dedicated to Raphael Sanzio, in fact this year marks the 500th anniversary of his death. With art historian Antonio Natali we will therefore discuss the Renaissance genius who depicted Pope Leo X with Cardinals Giulio de' Medici and Luigi de' Rossi, a large portrait that was sent to Florence on the occasion of the wedding of Lorenzo Duke of Urbino, the Pontiff's nephew, and Madeleine de La Tour d'Auvergne, which Leo X was unable to attend.
The talk will be accompanied by a screening.
