Saturday, April 13, continues the "Literary Agenda" event, held every year in two quarterly installments by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, together with BiblioCoop, Circolo Fanin, Conkarma, Il Giardino and ZimmerClub to promote reading in the area.
And it is precisely at the social center Il Giardino (Dalla Chiesa gardens in Figline) that the next event is set, to be held at 5:30 p.m. It is the presentation of the book "Le pianelle di Masaccio" by Lucia Bruni, who will be interviewed by Angelo Australi.
This is the fourth and final novel by this author, released in March 2017 and set in the Tuscan countryside in 1899. The theme is the discovery of a riddle around a work by Masaccio. The one who has to solve it is Esterrina, a peasant girl with a nose like a bloodhound and already the protagonist of previous volumes by Lucia Bruni .
The author, an art historian and journalist, is part of the Archive of Tuscan Women Writers ordered at the Department of Italianistics at the University of Florence. With the novel "Il segreto di Raffaello" (published by Dario Flaccovio) she won the Festival "Serravalle noir" in 2008. During the afternoon, the reading group of "Il Giardino" center will read excerpts from the book.
The "Literary Agenda" review will continue on Tuesday, April 16, at Rovai Library (Parri Square, Incisa), where starting at 5:30 p.m. the book "The Island of the Blue Mouflon" by Gianni Marucelli will be presented.
