A picture book entitled "Let's Color Our Emotions" by pupils of the Figline Comprehensive Institute, coordinated by Antonella Sabatti, will be presented on April 27, at 5 p.m.
A text published by Florence Art Edizioni, written by children and dedicated to their peers, created as part of the "Salute a Colori" projecton the occasion of the event of the same name, held in Figline last April 2. It was a way to make available to citizens, for an entire day, a range of health professionals, who met in Piazza Ficino on the initiative of Calcit Valdarno Fiorentino and the periodical Il Valdarno, under the patronage of the municipality and with the support of theAzienda USL Centro Toscana, the University ofFlorence, the Banca di Cambiano and the Rotary Club of Figline and Incisa.
Returning to the volume, it consists of 36 pages containing stories inspired by the seven colors of the rainbow and the emotions associated with them, accompanied by a black-and-white màndala for coloring. The illustrations, signed by Giovanni Pasquini, in Eastern tradition represent a depiction of the universe; coloring them is an exercise that promotes creativity, self-confidence and the representation of one's state of mind. Educators, parents and teachers will therefore find in these pages an effective tool to foster in children an awareness of their own emotions and an understanding of those of others.
The presentation meeting is set at "Leonardo Da Vinci" Secondary School, Piazza Don Minzoni 1 ( Matassino location, Figline).
Speakers will include the mayor of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, Giulia Mugnai, the councillor for Culture, Mattia Chiosi, the school director, Lorenzo Pierazzi, students and teachers who collaborated on the project, and then again Benedetta Pasquini, president of Salute a Colori, Bruno Bonatti, president Calcit Valdarno fiorentino, Silvia Tozzi, editorial director Florence Art Edizioni, and Giovanni Pasquini, creative director ItalianGestures creative_Lab. The citizenry is invited to attend.
