First time for Massimo Ghini on the stage of Teatro Garibaldi, where he will perform Feb. 18 and 19 in the dual role of lead actor and director in "Un ora di tranquillità." Also with him are Galatea Ranzi, Massimo Ciavarro, Alessandro Giuggioli, Gea Lionello, Luca Scapparone, the cultural association La Pirandelliana and Claudio Bigagli, who returns to Figline after 28 years (in the 1988-89 season he starred alongside Anna Proclemer and Gabriele Ferzetti in "Lungo viaggio verso la notte"; directed by Mario Missiroli).
The play, written by Florian Zeller and already a hit in France, tells the story of a man who, after buying an old vinyl record, desperately tries to listen to it, in solitude. However, he is continually interrupted by family members, friends and acquaintances, who make the time of peace (and listening, in peace, to the record) almost an unattainable dream and the performance funny and full of twists and turns.
The date is set for Saturday, Feb. 18, at 9 p.m . (subscription "A" shift) and Sunday, Feb. 19, at 4:30 p.m. (subscription "C" shift).
Tickets can be purchased online or at the theater's box office in Serristori Square. In the first case, they will be available for purchase as early as Monday, Jan. 13, through the Box office circuit or by connecting directly to www.teatrogaribaldi.it; in the second from Wednesday, Feb. 15, during the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or, alternatively, at all UniCoop Firenze supermarket entrance boxes (in Figline it is in Via Ungheria).
