There are four Health and Culture Walks organized by The Garden Association, together with Uisp Valdarno, Missing Rings Valdarno, Ciclofficina and under the patronage of Figline and Incisa Valdarno from April to May. These are opportunities to learn about Figline's main places of historical and cultural interest, from the walls to the Pieve di Gaville, from the Museum of the House of Peasant Civilization to other museums, churches and banks of the Arno River.
It starts on Saturday, April 7, with a guided tour along Figline's medieval walls. Before proceeding on the route, however, participants will be taken to the Praetorian Palace in Piazza San Francesco, where a model of Figline's castle in the Middle Ages is on display. It is there that guide Riccardo Semplici will explain the urban conformation of the village in that era. Departure, in all events, is set at the Social Center "Il Giardino" at 9:30 a.m., while the return is scheduled around noon.
These, however, are the dates of the other events: Saturday, April 14 (Gaville, visit to the parish church and Museum of Peasant Civilization); Saturday, April 28 (museums, churches and other places in Figlino); and Saturday, May 12 (Arno embankments).
