It is called "Health in Color" and is the first edition of the festival dedicated to health and wellness, scheduled for Sunday, April 2, in Figline. It is a way to promote interaction between citizens and health services through an information day that will take place in Marsilio Ficino Square. It is organized by Calcit Valdarno Fiorentino, at the suggestion of the periodical Il Valdarno, with the patronage of the municipality and the support of other entities, such as the Azienda USL Centro Toscana, the University of Florence, the Banca di Cambiano and the Rotary Club of Figline and Incisa.
For the occasion, informational, operational and exhibition booths will be placed in Piazza Ficino and in some of the buildings surrounding it - the Serristori loggia, the MCL Fanin club and the oratory of the former Serristori Hospital - where doctors and health professionals from the area and from the Serristori and Santa Maria Annunziata hospitals will be freely available to visitors for questions, curiosity and information on health and wellness. Fun and cultural moments are also planned.
There were three main objectives of the day: fundraising to support the expansion of the oncology DH at the Serristori Hospital in Figline, which is the main goal of Calcit; an information program on the health services offered by the Azienda USL Toscana Centro in the Serristori hospital and in the area; and the free presence of doctors, nurses and pharmacists ,available to users for some specialist checkups, advice and information useful for the prevention and management of certain diseases.
A special testimonial for Salute a Colori will be TV and radio impersonator Leonardo Fiaschi, who was the absolute revelation of the last edition of the show "Tale e quale," hosted by Carlo Conti, although he is already known to the public for his numerous successes as a comedian of "Lab Zelig Firenze," as the star of the radio program "La Carica di 101" from 2009 to 2013 on Radio 101 and as a finalist in "Italia's got talent" in 2013.
The artist's free participation is due to the close collaboration with the creative agency italianGestures_Lab, which designed and developed the official website of the event www.saluteacolori.it.
"The funds raised by Calcit Valdarno Fiorentino ," explains Prof. Bruno Bonatti, president of Calcit, "will be used to help those affected by cancer, financing the salary of medical staff working in the Serristori Hospital's oncology DH and the purchase of specific equipment to improve the quality of care provided to the sick.
"Health remains one of the main interests in the lives of Italians," says Dr. Benedetta Pasquini, chair of the organizing committee . Salute a Colori wants to bring together in one physical place institutions, companies, associations, people and activities related to the world of health, to offer information and advice on correct lifestyles. The Health Square wants to be the place where citizens can gain knowledge and useful advice to face the challenges of their daily lives. A comfortable and safe place, the starting point of a conscious journey under the banner of correct lifestyles."
"When we think about health we often focus on health care and services, which are obviously fundamental, but by themselves they are not enough," explained the mayor of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, Giulia Mugnai. " The right to health, in fact, must also aim to increase the level of awareness of communities around prevention and correct lifestyles. And that is the goal of Health in Color, to create an educational moment that helps us to live better, to dwell on our daily actions and perhaps change our lifestyle, because to care less we have to take better care of ourselves. So I thank the organizers for this extraordinary opportunity, which I hope will gather the interest of citizens."
