On the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women, on Monday, Nov. 25, at 9:15 p.m., at the Ridotto of the Garibaldi Municipal Theater (in Serrisori Square in Figline), there will be a performance, with free admission, Stand by Me - 'Stay Near Me' coordinated by director Henrj Bartolini and produced by the students of theMasaccio Cultural Association Theater Workshop in San Giovanni Valdarno.
Acting will be Paola Bitoni, Giulia Bizzarri, Emma Caselli, Irene Cullarà, Beatrice Tassan, Grazia Nazzaro, Sara Borgogni, Rebecca Vertelli, Sofia Vannini, Alberto Grasso, and Vittoria Grazzini.
These young women will stage eight monologues and one dialogue, which speak of secrets, fears, loves, memories and violence. Nine stories that traverse different daily lives, experiences and feelings, in which women are always the protagonists, represented with energy, passion and a contemporary language that looks to the future.
The show was represented by the Masaccio Cultural Association in the Alchimie 2019 theater review, organized by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno to promote the productions of youth companies, as part of the project "It's Not Culture for Old Men" (thanks to the contribution of the CR Florence Foundation). The company won this 11th edition in a tie, and the show will be replicated as an awareness-raising initiative promoted by the Single Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities within the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, in collaboration with the City itself. In addition to this show, a concert-reading entitled "Article Feminine - duo - illogical analysis of the printed paper" will be held on Thursday, Nov. 28, at the Salesian Theater in Figline.
