From May 17 to 22, Bimbolandia, the event dedicated entirely to children and organized by the Pro loco "Marsilio Ficino," with the patronage of the municipality and the support of various associations in the area, returns to the historic center of Figline. For the occasion, the city will be enlivened by games and initiatives suitable for families and children, starting with the Luna park in Ficino Square, which will open its doors every day from 3 to 10.30 p.m. (except Sunday 21, when it will remain open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.). There are also many educational and creative workshops scheduled for the various days (9 a.m.-7 p.m.) on the themes of recycling, animals and the environment, to which English-language workshops will be added this year.
Instead, the children's makeup, bullfighting, circus art workshops and performances, and singing performances by the city's music associations, joined by that of the "Del Puglia" school, return.
Space will also be given to lectures, open to young and old, on pediatric emergencies, road safety, games (primarily Lego bricks), nutrition, health and wellness, which will alternate with hands-on demonstrations (of bike repair, wooden construction and dance) and children's readings.
Finally, there are many side events organized by the stores in downtown Figline, ready to offer various delicacies such as cotton candy, ice cream, hot doughnuts, crepes and popcorn at bargain prices. Alongside these, an antiques market in Corso Matteotti, curated by the Antares association, is also scheduled for Sunday, May 21.
