At the Garibaldi, presentation of the book 'L'invidia degli dei' (The Envy of the Gods) by Corinna Pieri: staged readings and aperitif
It is set for 21 November, at 17,30, the presentation of the book 'The Envy of the Gods' by Corinna Pieri: a novel that, starting with the murder of two women, triggers a reflection on the female condition in history, from classical Greece to the most recent cases of feminicide.
The meeting, which will be held in the Ridotto of the Garibaldi Theatre in Figline (Piazza Serristori, free admission), is organised by the Figline and Incisa Valdarno Municipality Equal Opportunities Committee in collaboration with the Materiali Sonori cooperative, to celebrate the international day against violence against women, which is celebrated worldwide on 25 November.
In addition to the author, Chiara Cappelli and Sara Bonci will also be present to perform a staged reading. The performances will be performed to musical accompaniment by Arlo Bigazzi and Marco Furelli.
Following this, participants will be invited to move to Lio's, in Piazza Serristori, where an aperitif in the company of Corinna Pieriwill be offered.
During the afternoon, it will also be possible to buy his novel directly at the theatre, at the Mondadori point specially set up in the theatre by the bookstore of the same name in Corso Mazzini in Figline.
