On Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9:30 p.m., the Perlamora Center hosts a screening of the film "Will They Be Famous?" (2018) by Alessandro Sarti.
Together with the director, Sergio Forconi and some of the actors who starred in the film will speak.
Enzo Brogi, president Corecom Tuscany, presents.
The Mayor of the City of Figline and Incisa, Giulia Mugnai, spoke.
Admission for the evening is tied to a free-will offering.
The proceeds will be donated to the Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2000 by Paolo Bacciotti and his wife Barbara, after the death (due to a rare brain tumor) of their son. Since then, the foundation has been carrying out various projects, including the Case Accoglienza project, where families of patients atMeyer Children's Hospital are hosted free of charge.
FILM INFORMATION - This is a film, produced by the 51% Danza school, that takes up some of the central themes of our time, addressed with classic Tuscan humor. It is no coincidence that its subtitle is, "In life we are saved by two things: loving and laughing." To be told are the events of a dance school, amid challenges and generational conflicts, with a careful reflection on the times we are living. Starring a number of professional actors, first and foremost Sergio Forconi in the role of a great dancer, surrounded by no less than 550 extras (from 6 to 80 years old) almost all from Valdisieve, where 70 percent of the scenes were shot. The remaining takes were, however, captured on Ponte Vecchio and at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence, then moved to Pontassieve, Rufina, Pelago, Reggello, Rignano sull'Arno and in San Vincenzo (LI).
Prominent appearances include singer Dolcenera, Regina Schrecker and Aleandro Baldi, as well as the mayors of Pelago and Rufina, Renzo Zucchini and Mauro Pinzani, respectively, the vice mayor of Rufina, Vito Maida, and Hon. Lorenzo Becattini, Paolo Penko, and Luciano and Ricciardo Artusi.Giampaolo Talani, who recently passed away, also appears in the film in a scene shot at Bagno Venere and under the majestic statue of the Sailor at the New Port of San Vincenzo.
Many actors contributed: Gaetano Gennai, Bruno Santini, Alessandro Calonaci, Jerry Potenza, Piero Torricelli, Massimo Antichi, Giovanni Lepri, Gianmaria Vassallo, Giuliano Grande, Luciano Casaredi, Giuliano Del Taglia and many actors for a day. Music was entrusted to Riccardo Azzurri, with arrangements by Marco Bucci.
Editing was entrusted to Alessio Focardi, of Image Tailoring. Lucio Lepri handled the direction of Photography and Antonio Barba the audio post production.
The film did not receive any public funding, but was made thanks to private contributions and sponsorships, with the patronage of the Regional Council of Tuscany, Florence's District 1, the municipalities of Florence, Figline and Incisa Valdarno, Pontassieve, Pelago, Rufina, Reggello, and San Vincenzo, and with the collaboration of Toscana Film Commission.
