It will be held tomorrow (April 10) at 9 p.m., the penultimate event of the Concert Season at Teatro Garibaldi (Piazza Serristori, Figline). On stage, as always, is theOrchestra of Tuscany, which, for the occasion, will be conducted by Lorenza Borrani . The conductor (and violinist) has been performing in public since she was a child. She grew up at the School of Fiesole, where she continues to teach, and has also been concertmaster of the Filarmonica Toscanini in Parma (at the invitation of Lorin Maazel) and the Mozart Orchestra (at the invitation of Claudio Abbado). In addition, she has been first violin in many other orchestras, such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, with which she has been working for about 10 years, and she has founded her own: the Spira Mirabilis, which holds concerts without a conductor after days and days of preparation, during which the members confront each other and decide on the interpretative slant to be given.
With the ORT, which he will lead playing his violin, he offers two twentieth-century works, by Russian composer Alfred Schnittke, and then turns his gaze to the Viennese eighteenth century, with a reference to Mozart and Haydn's symphony. In detail, here are the pieces on the setlist: A. Schnittke, Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 1 (version for violin, string orchestra and harpsichord); A. Schnittke, Moz-Art à la Haydn, concerto for two violins and string orchestra; F. J. Haydn, Symphony No. 60 in C major "The Distracted," Hob. I:60.
Also on the Figlin stage will be violinist Chiara Morandi and harpsichordist Anthony Romaniuk.
