Along with meetings with authors and appointments for children, this week's reading promotion event "Literary Agenda" also restarts with literary conversations at Il Giardino social center (Dalla Chiesa gardens, Figline). On the program is anin-depth look at the great novels of Italian literature and their authors, curated by Angelo Australi.
The first of these meetings will be held tomorrow, Thursday, April 5, at 4:30 p.m. Its title is "Prosatori e narratori fra le due guerre," and it will focus on reading excerpts from Cesare Pavese's "La villa in collina" and Carlo Emilio Gadda's "La sposa di campagna ." The lives and works of other authors, such as Emilio Cecchi, Elio Vittorini, Corrado Alvaro and Alberto Savinio, will also be discussed.
Two other events are also scheduled this week, included in the same review and set for Saturday, April 7, at the Ficino Library (Via Locchi, Figline). In the morning (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) the appointment is with events for children ages 7 to 11, organized by Conkarma (readings from "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and themed origami workshop ; reservations recommended at 331.1380711). In the afternoon, however,space for a meeting with author Lorenzo Mugnai, who will present his book "Children of El" from 5:30 p.m.
