It is titled "Of Love and War" and is the show that the Si fa teatro workshop, of the Agita Cultural Association, will stage June 1 at 9:30 p.m. at the Garibaldi Theater in Figline.
This is all part of the "Alchemy Theater" festival, which is scheduled to run until June 11 to promote and reward youth productions .
It is a performance focused on the themes of love and war and inspired by literary characters and belonging to the collective imagination. In its staging, therefore, readings and fragments from Homer's "Iliad," Rostand's "Cyrano of Bergerac," Alighieri's "Divine Comedy," Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," Calvino's "The Path of the Spider's Nests," Viganò's "Agnes Goes to Die," Smith's "Vampire Diaries," Von Kleist's "Penthesilea," played a key role,
from "Piero's War" by De André, from "Love Before Us (Orpheus and Eurydice)" by Mastrocola, from "The Lord of the Rings" by Tolkien, from "Theme of the Eternal Soldier and Herons" by Vecchioni, from "Tristan and Isolde" by K. Reynolds and from "L'ammore ched'è?" by E. De Filippo.
Taking the stage will be Eva Barlazzi, Amanda Bigi, Ilenia Bucci, Azzurra Cuomo, Marika De Maria, Gea Franchini, Dora Froeba, Evaluna Galli, Gabriele Gonnelli, Pietro Lapi, Nazir Maman,Vincenzo Morelli, Ciro Ponzalli, Elia Salemme, Marta Terracciano, Giulia Tramannoni and Alice Torricelli.
The direction and script is by Miriam Bardini and Patrizia Mazzoni.
The set design and costumes, on the other hand, were designed by the workshop students; lighting is by Simone Resti.
The music is by Daniele Sepe, Iggy Pop, U2.
The next show to go on stage, however, will be "The Island of Slaves" by the theater workshop curated by Compagnia Arca Azzurra (performance out of competition; June 11).
The entrance fee is 8 euros for adults and 6 euros for children aged 14 to 19 and the over-65s. Admission is free up to 14 years of age.
