Cultural festival on Don Quixote closes with dance performance, opened Dec. 8
It will close on Sunday, January 28, the festival entitled "Don Quixote . The Figure and Symbol of the Impossible," organized over the Christmas period by the Culture Department of the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno to acquaint the general public with the famous character created by Miguel de Cervantes and to grasp the relevance of his message.
The event is at the Garibaldi Theater (Piazza Serristori, Figline) at 5 p.m., with a performance entitled "Don Quixote: The Ballet," featuring a performance by Figline Danza and the participation of Dimitri Frosali as Miguel de Cervantes. It is a performance of parts of the famous ballet by choreographer Marius Pepita to the music of Ludwig Minkus, interspersed with readings of excerpts from Miguel de Cervantes ' novel.
In addition, the performance will be enriched by the experience of some professional dancers, who will explain to the audience how literature is interpreted through the language of dance.
Also a reminder that the exhibition dedicated to the same theme also closes on Jan. 28 and will be open to visitors all weekend, with free admission, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
