Safe walking - strolling in the countryside of Florence
by Proloco Marsilio Ficino of Figline, in collaboration with Circolo ricreativo Ponte agli Stolli aps.
Loop from the meeting point to the Church of St. Lucy to descend to the Church of St. Andrew in Campiglia.
Meet at the beginning of the "Sting Cypress" at 3 p.m.
Route: the avenue of cypress trees leading to Il Palagio Estate is the beginning of the walk to Palagina, where it veers between olive trees to reach the path through the strawberry tree forest, which is tinged with red and yellow fruit in autumn. Along the way there are signs describing the forest's fauna. Now the trail becomes more strenuous, but it is worth it to arrive at the little church of Santa Lucia for a well-deserved rest!
We set off again to descend along a dirt road that skirts the Poggiale forest and the Palagio Estate, opposite the church of Sant'Andrea, to arrive in the cypress grove and return to the cars.
At the end of the walk, for those who wish, it will be possible to move (by car in 5 minutes) to the bar of the Ponte agli Stolli Circle, with gazebo and outdoor tables, for coffee or something else, exchanging views on the afternoon spent together.
Needed:
