For the first time, Il Giardino di Alceste, the readings accompanied by music, is being offered during the winter season and, for the first time, will be held in the library, specifically in the Marsilio Ficino Municipal Library (on Via Vittorio Locchi) in Figline. On Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 9 p.m., the actors of Cantiere Artaud will return with this event, which is now well established in the summer season at the Circles of the hamlets of the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, and will try to captivate the audience with stories "in front of the hearth."
Three stories from Vittorio Zucconi's collection Stranieri come noi were chosen for this occasion: USA: the vest, Italy: the witch and Brazil: the goal. The journalist wrote these texts while serving as a special envoy abroad, imagining himself sending "postcards" to readers to bring them closer to "people who are very different and yet very similar," inviting them to look at other cultures without prejudice and to dwell on issues such as marginalization and the causes of youth violence. Sara Bonci and Ciro Gallorano will give the reading accompanied by Gilberto Russo's guitar.
Alceste's Garden is an initiative conceived and promoted by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno.
