On Tuesday, Feb. 18 (5:30 p.m.) at the Gilberto Rovai Library in Incisa, Ferruccio Parri Square, the book Nicolas. A Bright Child by Pietro Acler.
The event is part of the January-March 2020 Literary Agenda review as a "meeting with the author." Indeed, it will be Peter Acler himself who will tell the true story that inspired the text: the life of little Nicolas, a child with SMA who lived only five and a half years - a bright child whose story celebrates life.
"In theface of my wound, in the face of my fragility, people can have two different attitudes: to turn away and run away, perhaps with a smile imbued with sadness and fear, or to come closer to the point of entering me, into my wound, letting themselves be embraced and cuddled by my fragility, which, after all, is one of the few things I can give. This is extraordinary because I with my fragility can help others grow: I can help them find themselves. Whoever is with me must take off his mask: if he enters my wound, he too like me becomes 'wounded,' becomes 'fragility'! And he will soon find out how true and important this is and how the world that runs out there is often apparent and illusory," from Nicolas. Bright child.
The initiative is organized by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno. The next appointment with the Literary Agenda will be Thursday, Feb. 20, with Readings "Made in U.S.A." at the Garden .
