The events of "Fly to the Library," the quarterly review that the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno, in collaboration with the Zimmer Club association and the BiblioCoop reading point (Via Ungheria, Figline), dedicates to all age groups in an effort to promote reading in the area, continue.
Friday, Feb. 17, the event is at the Ficino Library (Locchi Street, Figline) with a meeting titled "Io nacqui per navigare la breeze."
This is a tribute to English poet Peter Russel, which will be held starting at 5 p.m. in collaboration with the "Peter Russel" association of Castelfranco Piandiscò. In particular, it will feature testimonies and images of the poet and his places of life, including Valdarno, as well as readings and music.
If the readings will begiven by Marco Betti, Peter Genito, Leonello Rabatti, Sara Russell (daughter of the poet), Loris Sandrucci, Enrico Taddei, Giorgio Torricelli and Andrea Trerè, themusical intervention will be by Salvo Pagliarello (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Angelita Borgheresi (vocals) and Marcello Zappia (percussion). In attendance will be Figline and Incisa Valdarno City Council Culture Councillor Mattia Chiosi and Castelfranco Piandiscò Mayor Enzo Cacioli.
A buffet will be provided at the end of the meeting.
