Entitled "The Weight of a Crumb," the book, written by Pamela Pieralli(Pagliai Editions), will be presented Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m . at the multi-purpose hall of the Arci club in Incisa (Piazza Auzzi) in the presence of the author and her publisher.
This is an autobiographical volume in which Pamela Pieralli, now 30, recounts her struggle with glycogenosis type 2, a rare, chronic and debilitating disease also known as Pompe disease .
A true diary, studded with memories of Pamela as a child and as an adult, who has always tried to overcome the obstacles arising from this neuromuscular disease, thanks to the support of her family and loved ones. In fact, the title refers to the weight of a body that wears out but does not give up, carrying out its missions, finding the courage to survive.
The presentation is organized by the City of Figline and Incisa Valdarno and the Incisa Arci club and will be attended by the mayor and president Nico Ceccherini.
