Through Dec. 16, the periodic quarterly review that, for the third year in a row, the municipality has organized to promote reading among different age groups at various gathering places in the area continues.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m., the Ficino Library (on Locchi Street in Figline) will host the presentation of the book "Enzo Biagi. Lessons in Television," edited by Giandomenico Crapis. It is a volume that collects a series of articles on television and communication, published in the 1950s in the weekly Epoca, of which Biagi was editor. For the occasion, the author (an expert on TV and mass media, author of several books and essays on the same topics and contributor to the daily newspaper il Manifesto) will talk about the historical and social context in which those articles were written.
Giovanni Gozzini, professor of Contemporary History and History of Journalism at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, University of Siena, will also be present.
